Can Omeprazole & Escitalopram Be Taken Together?

hello madam i m from india i take antidepressants content is escitalopram and conazeopam now for throat infection and cold purpose my doctor prescribed penicillian group antibiotic with omeprazole so can i take omeprazole with escitalopram as i heard it interfear eachothr please guide me

Hello.Taken together Escitalopram with Omeprazole 30 mg daily cause increase (about 50%) of Escitalopram blood concentrations.If you take Omeprazole 20 mg per day;initially Escitalopram blood concentrations not change and both drugs can be taken together.I wish you good health.
