Can One Ovary Produce Enough Hormones To Get Pregnant?

I had a tubal ligation back in 2010 and my ovary removed in 2011 my period is 12 days late and I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. In unsure if I should go get a blood test to make sure I'm not pregnant due to chance for eptopic pregnancy. I'm just not sure if the remaining ovary would be making enough hormones.
