Can Parapelvic Cysts In The Kidneys Cause Backache?

I have had back pain for several days. Then thought that I was passing a kidney stone. I went to the doctor and she put me on a muscle relaxer and flow max and in an antibiotic. The next day I went and had a ultrasound done. the ultrasound found a small subcentermeter parapelvic cyst in both kedneys. can that cause bad back pain?
