My husband has a 3.5cmx3cm mass in the deep lobe of parotid gland. He has been suffering from pain in his neck and shooting headache on the same side. He also has constant ringing in his ear for months. Can the tumor be causing the pain and tinnitus??

Parotid gland tumor sometimes leads to difficulty in opening of mouth which further cause problem to temporomandibular joint ( TMJ ) and TMJ problem can cause tinnitus . Continue stress and anxiety can also be one of the reasons for tinnitus . Tinnitus can also occur due to nerve compression or any alteration in the blood flow due to pressure exert by growing tumor . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order MRI OR CT scan .
