Can Platelets Be Read Via A Meter?

Is there a meter to read the platelets? My husband(31 year- old, 70 kg) has polycitemia vera and we were wandering if there is something like this. He is now on Anagrelide, is it ok? Already chemotherapy? He had a stomach bleeding because he took aspirin.

Hello,
Thank you for your contact to healthcare magic.
I understand your health concern, if I am your doctor I suggest you that there is no machine available that can read the platelets. But you can read it at laboratory. So do non worry whenever you are required to do platelet count visit the nearby laboratory your husbands current drug is fine and just continue with it.

I will be happy to answer all your future concern.
Thank you,
Dr Arun Tank

Wish you a best health at health care magic.
