Can Pulsating Neck Be Caused Due To Stress?

Feeling pulsating on the left side of the neck (in vein/ artery).... I m 30... Was not doing anything exhausting. Still feeling it laying down. Doesn t occur regularly. Could it be stress? I m not very physically active so I m concerned if i may have plaque build up. I try to eat healthy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible to be stress but and something more serious. I suggest you to control your blood pressure, heart rate. If you are skinny it is normal to see the pulse on your neck. If this symptom repeat I suggest you to take an appointment with cardiologist to evaluate your condition and exclude serious disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
