Can Rashes Be Due To A Viral Infection?

My son has been experiencing a rash for about six days. I took him to the doctor he said it looks like scabies or viral rash infection. I don t think it is scabies from the things I ve looked up on the Internet. How can I tell if it s a viral rash infection and how long will last.

Hello,

You can send me a photo of the rash to help you what it is. If it has fever probably it is a viral infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
