Can Recovery From Total Hip Replacement Surgery Lead To Swelling In Foot?
My both foot are swelling since 3 days .I had a total hip replacement of right hip on 21st Dec 2013,and I am feeling heaviness in foot (slightly less in right foot and a bit more in the left foot ),what is the reason and any remedy for it ? I am continuing all the exercises prescribed and now with the help of walking stick I can walk and some times without any support also .can u please advice me and i will be grateful to you .

hi with your short description and without any pain in the hip region.it seems nothing much to worry about.most likely they are because of dependent i.e because of gravity,hypoproteinemia.my advice would be keep limb elevated and do the foot and ankle excercises.take some drugs which help in reducing swelling like trypsin/chymotrypsin.if swelling does not resolve to above measure get cardiac and kidney function test. take care
