Hi. My mother is 72 and has diabetes and high blood pressure. She takes medication for both of these things (although her diet could stand to improve.) She also takes a daily aspirin (baby aspirin.) She had a bypass surgery in 1999 and had her right leg saphenous vein removed. She doesn t excercise much unless necessary (basically out of fear of something being triggered, like a stroke or heart attack (God forbid.)) She is currently experiencing pain in the right leg at the ankle and near the knee area. She states that it is an aching and does come and go, but seems to keep coming back. I have told her to try leg lifts and mild stretching to help, but do you think this could be something major due to the vein removal? (I just want to see her as vibrant and life-loving as she is able at this time. She tends to eat what she likes, unless someone cooks for her (not always the healthiest,) and I feel that she could get more healthy exercise, but would like to help her in finding the safest options for everything (and help her leg pain.)) Please advise on whatever you see fit. Thanks, concerned daughter
