Can Slapping Hard On The Ear Cause Permanent Deafness?
Hi there, I got slapped in both ears by my friend relatively strongly, i had a slight deafness/ringing for 5 seconds although there was almost no pain - now I have a slight hearing loss in my right ear. This has been going on for over 2 hours now. Is this permanent or temporary - what should i do - what is this a symptom of? Kindest Oliver
hello. it is likely that your ear drum has been damaged because of the slap. dont worry, just keep the ear dry, it will heal in few days. if however you develop some discharge of bleeding or ringing persists, meet your ENT doctor as soon as possible. thanks
