Can Sleepiness Be Caused Due To Excess Body Weight And Celiac Disease?

My daughter is 33 yers old and has downs syndrome. Recently she was diagosed with Celiac Disease. She is overweight also. Lately, it seem that at soon as she sits down she falls asleep. Could this be connected the the excess weight and the Celiac?

Hi,

Excessive sleeping may be due to infection, narcolepsy, infection, sleep apnea or hypothyroidism or depression etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please get it done complete blood picture, serum electrolytes, blood sugar, thyroid profile and polysomnography.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
