Can Sleeping Pill Be Taken Before Undergoing A Sleep Study?
Hi. My uncle took a sleep study as a result of restless nights. his insurance paid for the sleep study. He took a sleeping pill right before the study as a result of not sleeping at all the night before. he is worried that something is going to happen to him because he took the pill. My question is should he have anything to worry about?
Usually, a sleep center will give you precise instructions on what a patient may or may not take before coming to the test. If your uncle took the pill and did not tell anybody about it then, I recommend letting the sleep doctor know what was done in case that may alter the results based on knowing he took a drug for sleeping.
If this information is useful then, your brief written feedback with a STAR RATING would be most appreciated.
Also, I am a neurologist and would be amply able to help you with any other questions on this matter. Please write me on this or any other questions you may have at:
