Can Stomach Bug Cause Gas?

I believe I ve caught a stomach bug as I have had diarrhea on and off for 5 days. I ve got a lot of gas in my abdomen that seems to spread to my chest, left, center and sometimes right. Sometimes I get tiny, very slight pulls on my left side that last from 1-2 minutes (these occurred before the stomach bug and might be from lifting my boys up to the basketball hoop to dunk as I ve had this sensation a couple years ago after doing that exact same thing). I have no problems breathing, no sharp pains, just very bad gas and stomach. Can a stomach bug cause these symptoms?

Hi,

I really appreciate your concern, if this is suspected stomach infection then most of the time it could be protozoa infection and it can be managed with Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, Other symptoms that you have states here may be due to stomach infection but it goes on vary from person to person, in my opinion another option is to try Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day with Domperidone 20 mg once in day because it could be dyspepsia.
