Can Stomach Infection Affect Liver Function Test Results?

I had a stomach bug on wednesday last week and went for liver function test on the FRiday. Can a stomach bug affect the results. I feel fine but my results came back higher than normal and my Dr suggest I go for a liver scan. Should I suggest having another blood test first. My age is 63 Height 5'4" Weight 57.9. I had gall bladder removed 10 years ago and had a hysterectomy 2 years ago. Look forward to your reply,

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
Amoebiasis is caused by the protozoan Entamoeba histolytica. Amoebiasis is often asymptomatic but may cause intestinal symptoms and the liver test may be abnormal if liver is also infected.LFT can be high due to hepatitis caused by any other reason like few medicines, fatty liver ,alcohol etc ,you must consult a gastroenterologist .hope this will help!
