Can Stopping Of Last Half Tablet Of Dostinex Cause Abortion?
last october my prolactin level was tested and found to be 37.27ng/ml.doctor presribed me dostinex for one month.she gave me 2 tablets.and asked to take half a tablet once in each week.before taking last half i became pregnant.bt unfortunately in the early 4 weeks i have a spontaneous abortion.i have a low back pain at tat time.bleeding lasts for 9 days.and asked me to wait 3 cycles.whether this was long doctor?stopping the last half tablet of dostinex was the reason of my abortion?.she gave me folic acid tablets and ferosetablets.

Tab dostinex that is 0.5 cabergoline.
Ia basically given for high prolactin levels. Which is one of the major cause for infertility.
As such cabergoline is marked as drug category b in FDA approvals.
And cabergoline facilitates the pregnancy.
But there have been few studies which i came across to show few incidence of misscarage and pregnancy losses. And babies But suffering with downs syndrome. there is no significant mark that I can ensure u the probable reason of loss.
Nd follic acid which your doctor prescribed was absolutely fine. As it is required for d mother reserves as well as dha is required for brain development. Take care ahead when you plan to conceive next. Hope it would help you. Any further query you are welcome.
