Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Today as I was having a follow up for lung cancer treatment my blood pressure was 85 over 48. Could this be caused by stress? I have been under a lot of stress lately, my husband having his leg amputated and is currently in rehab, my 47 year old daughter suffered a major stroke 3 weeks ago, and then the concern of how successful the treatments for my cancer had been. Thankfully my news was great. I have been having some short spells (1 to 2 min. duration) of dizziness, blurred vision, lightheadedness.

Can Stress Cause Low Blood Pressure?
Hi, Consult a physician and get evaluated. Stress does not cause low blood pressure. It might be due to something else and a detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
