Can Sudafed Be Taken For Maintenance Of Air Passages?
I recently took sudafed for congestion. I found that I was getting the best and most restful sleep i can remember and woke up ( early) feeling absolutely great for the days I took sudafed. My wife says that I did not snore at all ...and she claims that I usually "stop breathing" and am a restless sleeper ( without the sudafed)....I know sudafed is a stimulant, but can open air passages produce better sleep? can sudafed be taken for maintenance?
hello, thanks for your query, it's a nasal decongestant which can cause side effects like rhinitis medicamentasa ( drug induced nasal block) and hypertension in longer term. it's not indicated more than 7 days. kindly visit the ent surgeon for d evaluation of cause of snoring and mouth breathing. all the best. take care.
