Can Surgery Correct Misaligned Jaw In A Child?

Hi there, my daughter has a misalligned jaw whenever she yawns or opens her mouth widley the right side of her face/jaw pops out more than the other side (like a bone that's dislocated). She hasn't had this problem when she was younger but it's gotten more noticeable as she grew up. She is now 14.I was wondering if she has to go get braces or surgery or even both to correct this. and approximately how long will she have to wear braces or wait for the surgery?
