hi I have been told that the cartilage in my knees are degenerating and that I would need tkr done on both knees, query ,what sort of damage can occur if I leave this operation say for another few years pain level at the moment can be from 3 to 8 out of 10 thanks
You can delay this surgery for some more time. There is no harm in delaying this. You should regularly take calcium and vitamin D3 . Avoid squatting and ground level sitting. If you have severe pain and have to take pain killer daily then no point in delaying this.
