Can Taking Primolut N For Postponing Periods Cause Irregular Periods In Future?
i was treated for one month for not having periods (after baby and breast feeding) and ever since september 2013 it was regular. This month i need to delay my periods for one day for an emergency. Can i take premolute N and will it makes my periods irregular again?
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Taking primolut N does not affect future periods especially if it is taken for a short time. You may need to begin it a day or two before the expected period and continue for 3-4 days. Periods usually come within the next 7 days after stopping primolute. However the period after this will follow the new cycle and may be delayed or come early by a few days till new rhythm is established. Hope this helped your query. Thanks for using HCM.
