Can The Regular Routine Be Started As The Temperature Has Come Down After Having A Flu?

I am pretty sure I have had the flu with atemp of 103 yesterday morning. This afternoon I am at 94.6 and it was at 93.7 when I ventured outside with the dog (no, I don't live in Minnesota it was about 45 outside). I'm coughing quite a bit and expectorating a little.Of course blowing my nose a lot. My chest and abdomen muscles " burn" when I cough. Can I head back to work tomorrow ( I teach high school kids) or am I just exposing myself to further possible germ infestation?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

Typical flu would last for at least 5 days and some persons keep shedding the virus even if they have recovered. Your immunity is also low during this period and there are chances of secondary bacterial infection occurring if ventured outside. I would suggest rest for 3 days as that is the best cure for the flu. Then you can get back to work.
Thanks.
