Dear Shammy, random blood sugar is of no use for dose adjustment. You should go for fasting blood sugar and post prandial blood sugar.Your dosage can be reduced with good diet, exercise and weight loss. In my opinion you definitely require a reduction of your dosage after a week to ten days.Since you are a young person it is always advisable to undergo daily exercise regimen which will help in cutting down your blood sugars. I have seen some patients whose blood sugars are well controlled with their diet and minimal medications. Wishing you the best.
