Can The Working Condition Of The Heart Be Improved Without Stents?
I had a heart attack 6 weeks ago and my condition is my heart is working at 13 to 15 % I was told that I have a damage heart no stents where needed can I build my heart back to 30 to 35% I was told It would be doubtful So when would I be able to go back to work or can I go back to work. I'm in construction ?
Thanks for the query. It is likely that you will have a justified abscence from work anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, with specific weight lifting restrictions. Your best option to know how much to do? Ask your doctor to refer you to a cardiac rehabilitation program; they will guide you and monitor you, given your weak heart.
Nowadays, medications work wonders for heart disease after an attack, so work with your doctor taking all the pills he prescribes; he will monitor the recovery of the function of the heart; if it continues to be less than 35%, you will likely qualify for a defibrillator to prevent sudden death.
Hope this helps, wish you the best,
