Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain Tonsil stones or Tonsilloliths are formed when debris gets accumulated over the tonsillar crypts which gets calcified..
Tonsil stones are therefore present only over the tonsils and not the roof of mouth..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist who can use
tongue depressor and properly evaluate the stones..
If present he can remove them manually..
Many a times tonsil stones do not require any treatment but if there are associated with symptoms like bad breath and other problems like
sore throat ,swallowing difficulty Surgical removal of tonsil stones by an ENT Surgeon is done along with it antibiotics and painkillers are also given to prevent infection and pain and ease the discomfort..
In case if the problem is recurrent
Tonsillectomy is the ultimate treatment..
As of now to prevent bad breath do
chlorhexidine gargles 2 to 3 times a day and better consult an ENT expert soon..
For preventing its formation you can start gargling with 1:1 solution of
hydrogen peroxide and water..
Limit intake of dairy as it is high in calcium..
Always gargle with atleast normal water after eating anything..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
