Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I had an allergic reaction to metformin. My dr. Put me on Victoza and lantus. The Victoza works great. My sugars were in the 300 and 400s, with Victoza they stay under 200, normally around 150-170. My insurance won t authorize the Victoza, so I now have to try tradjenta. Will it do just as well and is there anything in this drug like in metformin? I am very scared of having another reaction like I did before.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that if you are sensitive to some drug then you would be sensitive to same group of drug and for that this is to be confirmed and for that you suppose to take the drug, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
