Can Treatment For Skin Cancer Lead To Behavioural And Cognitive Issues?
I have an elderly uncle who went through surgery a week ago today to remove a skin cancer from the top of his head. Ever since he was put under for this procedure he is very confused and not himself. They are giving him sedatives to settle him that seem to be making him worse. I read about icu psychosis and wonder if this could be his problem. What do you think?
hi. usually such symptoms don't occur after such surgeries. this may be as a result of anaesthesia drugs used during surgery or may be a side effect of drugs used later on. yes ICUpsychosis may occur in old age people. so difficult to answer with this much small information.
