My 7 year old daughter had tubes placed in her ears on September 12 of this year. On October 4, she began experiencing auras, decreased vision and headaches. She has never complained of a headache prior to this date. 29 days later and she is still experiencing daily headaches and has added symptoms of arm and leg pain, dizziness and nosebleeds. These headaches come daily, regardless of where she is-- school, home, church, etc... Our family doctor even sent her to the emergency room because she was in such pain. CT and MRI are normal. We have seen a neurologist and will see her again Friday, but I want to be armed with questions. She is taking amitriptilline nightly and naproxen and maxalt at onset-- daily. We also give ibuprofen when no other meds can be given. I have had the tubes checked. One is sideways, but they said it was probably on its way out. I just wonder if this could be related to tubes since she has never experienced anything similar prior to them being placed. I thank you for any advice you can offer.
