Hi..I am having irritation on my both palms and sometimes cracks do occur (it was there for almost a year)..This started after i used VIM liquid. THk i got allergy. I have used prednisone 10 mg for 6 days recently and it got cured..but even now i feel irritation now and then and some very minor crack do occur...suggest wat i hv to do
Hello According to your history of illness I recommend you please consult a dermatologist and get his opinion as it was mere coincidence that you develop this sort of allergy . In my opinion this is eczematous dermatitis and cause is some chemicals present in that powder , which you used one year back. Prednisolone is not a treatment but this provide some symptomatic relief . When such cases visit I prescribe them non steroidal cream ( ointment ) . Montelukast +fexofenadine tablet twice in day for 15 days . Wash hand with potassium permangnant solution , dry it and then apply cream. If no relief then consult a dermatologist and get his opinion.
