Can Vasectomy Be A Reason For Hernia Near The Scrotum?

I'm a 54 year old male. Went to doc today and he said I have a small hernia on my left side near my scrotum. With this type of hernia is it normal to have testicular pain? Should I have the hernia repaired? Does having a vasectomy approximately 25 years ago have any impact on my current condition?

Hello
Thakss for query.
You have been diagnosed to have Lt inguinal Hernia .

Please note that it is in noway related to or due to vasectomy thata you have undergone 25 years back.

Testicular pain that you have is likely to be due to hernia itself.

Surgery is the only treatment option for hernia.

Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical assessment and get it repaired at earliest as per your convenience.
