Last year I had a sudden episode of vertigo (room spinning); doctor prescribed meclizine; lasted for three days...Last six months I have noticed squishy sound in left ear especially on eating...I also notice a decrease in hearing on that side...Could vertigo be connected to squishy sound? I have an appointment to see an ENT.
Do an ear endoscopic examination and check whether the eardrum is perforated or any infection persists. Do a nasal examination to check any block near the eustachian tube. lastly do an audiometry test to see whether auditory nerve is involved.
