Can Viruses Cause Tiredness And Sickness In Stomach?
I feel kind of tired and sick to my stomach. I want to eat constantly because it makes my stomach feel better worst of all, I am gassy and feel bloated. My mouth tastes like I have been sucking on a mud pie. My diet is healthy. I take vitamins. I am pretty skinny. I kept thinking this was a virus, but it has not gone away and it s been 2-3 weeks now.
Yes, viruses do cause stomach illness and discomfort. Since you have a tendency to eat constantly and are skinny, you are suggested to get a stool test done to detect if you need to get de-wormed. You have a history of acid reflux and bloating, take home made food in time. Take small meals. Avoid addictions if any. Cut on oily spicy packaged junk food. For relief, you can take antacids and PPI's, one SOS when needed. Avoid constipation, take fiber rich food and laxatives at bed time. Keep yourself well hydrated. Take food rich in protein, calcium and minerals.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
