Can Wine Be Consumed While On Lisinopril?

I have been taking Lisinopril for years. 10mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening. My blood pressure typically ranges from 125/85 to 145/95. My question: Can I safely drink a glass of wine before bedtime? (approximately 3 hours from my evening dose)

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can safely take wine while on Lisinopril. Wine will not interact with lisinopril and it does not affect its efficacy

Keep in mind that wine might cause gastritis and dyspeptic symptoms and you can take antacids like Pantoprazole to tackle this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
