Can You Get HPV From Oral Sex ?
Can you get HPV from oral sex and can it lead to brochitis/pneumonia/ cancer if not treated? I think I read in Sept.07 edition of Raiological magazine that its possible..but too technical so not clear..help?

Basically HPV is Cervical Cancer virus but studies show strong association with other types of cancer like cancers of the mouth and throat although it is mainly associated with tobacco use and alcohol.
** HPV 16 seems to play a role in the development of a significant number of cancers of the mouth and throat.
** Oral sex increases your risk of acquiring an HPV infection in your mouth or throat.
** The HPV vaccine might be useful for prevention.
** Oral sex is not safer as it can transmit various type of STD.
