Can You Give Me A Details On Amniotic Band Syndrome ?

Hi doctors, I have some questions about amniotic band syndrome . I had a 3D ultrasound with a Periontologist at 20 wks and 3 days because I was diagnosed with Amniotic band syndrome. Everything is fine at this point, baby is intact but amniotic band is sitting near umbilical cord. Peri said now there is less chance of any harm to baby because there is no STICKINESS in the band now. If there was any harm to baby it would have been till now. What is that

Amniotic band syndrome is caused because of entrapment of the fetus parts in the bands of the amnios. It has the following features
Constriction rings around the digits, arms and legs
Swelling of the extremities distal to the point of constriction ,Amputation of digits, arms and legs
