Cause And Cure For The Difficulty In Swallowing Food

Recently I have had difficulty swallowing... mainly on my first bite. It feels like the food gets lodged in my chest area then I have extreme pain in my chest like pressure in that area which radiates outward. As I try to swallow a foamy clear mucus comes up and just keeps coming out of my throat until I feel like I am choking. Any ideas what I need to do or what causes this?
