Hi Doc, I was having the flu and cough bought 2 months back. I'm better now, but why is it i still hv a lot of phlegm (even tho i manage to cough it out most times). That aside, i tend to have this chocking cough. it can happen anytime anyday. Why is this so?

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, I have reviewed your history. The phlegm what you are having is mostly because of LRTI (Lower Respiratory Tract Infection). This type of infection takes some type to recovery. I would have advised you some mucolytic syrup to you so that all the phlegm will come out soon and you can feel better. Thank you
