Cause of neurogenic (non-vascular) pulsatile thrill of regular rate and rhytmn of about 40-45 per minute down entire posterior of left leg (occasionally of rt leg), and asynchronous as well as much slower than peripheral pulses of same leg (and asynchronous and slower to heart rate). Distal peripheral pulses of both legs 4+ and synchronous; without peripheral edema. PMH excellent except for severe lumbar stenosis of less than 2 mm at L4 (s/p high speed rear end mva), followed by open surgical laminectomy and fusion. 6 months later severe beating and robbing by unknown assailant outside motel room resulting in loss of TMJ joint complex, bilateral rotator cuff tears of shoulders, and collapse of L4 vertebral body with subsequent severe DOA lumbar scoliosis.
