Cause Of Recurring One Side Face Swelling Along With Neck/ Shoulder Pain, Headache On The Same Side Lasting For A Month?
Hi my right side of my face is swelling and has in past usually lasts mnths when it happens. I have no allergies or cavities/abbesses. I get neck and shoulder pain on same side and bad headache when swelling starts. I have tried massages, chiro, stretches, dentist and dr cant seem to figure out what or why?
It would be great if you have mentioned your age, but with your question most common cause can be a nerve compression at cervical spine. When this happens patient feels pain along neck, face, shoulder and hand. Are you feeling more pain in night time or if you are having numbness too. I would recommend you to avoid using pillow. Take medication like gabapentin and methylcobal. Also you can wear soft neck collar. There is role of intermittent cervical traction, that can be used with help of physiotherapist. Let me tell if you want to know any thing else.
