Cervical Cone Biopsy, Endocervucal LEEP Biopsy. Also Had Endocetvical And Endometrial Curettings. Significance Oof Having No Dysplasia?
Hi On September 30, 2013 I had a cervical cone biopsy, endocervical LEEP biopsy which pathology report for both procedures states features of dysplasia are not felt to be present. According to my surgeon this was a LARGE cone biopsy. During the same procedure I also had endocervical curettings and endometrial curettings with pathology stating high grade squamous dysplasia, favor CIN 3. Multiple detached fragments. What is the significance having no dysplasia in the cone and leep biopsy? Is it possible that this surgery has cured and treated me.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. If the squamous dysplasia is present in the endocervical curettings then the risk of cancer s present. Normal results of LEEP does not matter in that case. You need proper treatment for this. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
