Chest Discomfort, Difficulty In Breathing. History Of Pulmonary Embolism. Chances Of A Blood Clot?
I'm 25, weigh 127 and I'm 5'5. Just recently I can't do too much or I get winded, chest discomfort and have to take very deep breaths. I've always been pretty active so this is making me a bit nervous. After I had a c section with my son in 2009 I had a pulmonary embolism they think was caused by the surgery. That scares me because now I'm feeling like this and not sure if I should go see a dr now...what do you think? Maybe a heart problem...stress? Or possibly another blood clot?
You are in the ideal weight range, with a Body Mass Index of 21.
Any one having a past history of pulmonary embolism, now feeling short-winded with chest discomfort, must seek immediate help from the nearest medical person. The possibility of another clot getting into the lungs must be ruled out at the earliest.
Stress may cause the symptoms that you complain of. At 25 years of age, heart problems are unlikely, as you do not have any past/childhood history of heart ailments.
We will all be happy if we are proved wrong that there is no clot. But please get expert medical help ASAP and prove that there is no clot.
Hope our misgivings turn out to be wrong, and you DO NOT have a clot.
