Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i m suffering from chest infection from last 10-15 days. i tried many medicine prescribed by my family doc and home remedies but my cough get wilder each day. plz help
Are you coughing up anything? If so what color? I would suggest going to the Emergency Room and telling them how long you have had this infection and the symptoms. They will be able to give you stronger antibiotics that will help. Don't let this infection prolong this can be serious and harmful to your health.
you must be investigated for types of chest infection, through investigations like CBC,SERUM ASO TITRE,ABSOLUTE COUNT OF EOSINOPHIL,CHEST-X-RAY-P.A.VIEW etc.only then proper treatment can be started.,as you are still under treatment of your family doctor. dr.s.c.jha
Hi well come to HCM.
Since the cough is for last 15 days you should submit at least for X-ray chest to
rule out condition like pneumonitis or tuberculosis. It could be simple bronchitis even
and at times viral bronchitis takes little longer period to get rid off. Thanks
