Chest Pain. Diagnosed As Pleurisy. Taking Medication. Advice?

Chest pain in upper right area close to sholder above breast. Pain has been off and on for over a week. Started last week as sharp pain. Went to doctor - diagnosed as pleurisy received cortizone shot and prednisone. Sharp pain subsided and now it is extremem pressure. Not a problem sleeping and gets worse later in the day.

The cause of the pleural reaction and inflammation needs to be ascertained and treated.Steroids will help reduce the inflammation ,the basic cause also needs to be addressed.Discussing this with your doctor and a consultation with a chest specialist may help.
