Chest Pain. Given Ventolin Inhaler. Why Is It Hard To Breath?

,I have had this pain in the right side of my chest for the past three weeks,I went to my doctor and she gave me a ventolin inhaler as it was harder to breath at night. It didn't work and now if I press ,a spot on my chest it hurts and the pain goes down into my breast,do you think I should go back to see my doctor?

HI
Thanks for your query.
You may have some infection in the chest or chest wall. What I feel is you must get a chest x-ray and ECG (because sometimes cardac pain manifests in right side) done first to have a preliminary idea of what is going inside.
Next will be going for a simple breathing test called spirometry to diagnose airway obstruction which can be a reason of your breathlessness at night. If it is the case then you may need upgradation of your inhaler along with combination of steroid...

Best wishes
