Chest Pain, Shortness Of Breath. Little Help From Steroids. History Of Pulmonary Fibrosis In Family. Help

HI . I think i had a chest infection that started about 3 months ago. I wen to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics. they didint do much good. he then gave me steroids. i think they helped a bit but still have chest pains and shortness of breath. i have an appointment with a chest physician in 4 weeks time (earlierst possible appointment). i am worried though because my Mum had pulmonary fibrosis when she died at the age of 80.

You have a family history although i dont think it is pulmonary fibrosis as u have not mentioned anything about breathlessness. You said you had an infection means you must have had fever.
sTEROIDS WILL HELP IN ANYTHING THAT HAS INFLAMAMTION HENCE NEED NOT BE A TRUE RESPONSE
