I think that I either have a heart problem (high blood pressure, possible heart attack, etc. .... I know, sounds like I'm a hypochondriac), or that I have suffered from (possibly still suffering from) broken heart syndrome. My symptoms seem to correlate with both, except I did not vomit, which I have read sometimes accompanies a heart attack in women. I am only 36, and my blood pressure has been through the roof. I work out, about 4 days a week, but probably don't get as much cardio in as I should ... but when I was having chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, etc. it was extremely hard to workout. I would stop and feel like I couldn't breathe. My body was even turning red, which I know is a sign of lack of oxygen ( I teach group fitness classes.) I know I need to see a Dr., and am trying to get my health insurance squared away, but having some difficulty with that. I am worried that when I do see the Dr., he or she will not give me the tests I need to check for heart damage and a possible heart attack, because they will immediately say it was probably all due to broken heart syndrome. These were my symptoms - chest pain, shortness of breath, feeling like I couldn't breathe when exercising, very high blood pressure - highest was 166/110 I think, at one point pain in upper back, getting winded easily, tiring easily, before it happened, i also had headaches and was tired all the time, which I heard happens with high bp (didn't know I had high bp at the time, really.) My chest is not hurting anymore, thankfully. My breathing is better, but still not back to the way it was. My bp is lower, but still in hypertension 2 range.
