Chest Pain, Took Percocet To Relieve, Came Back With Severe Back Pain. Diagnosed With Myocarditis, Paracarditis. Reason ?
I have previously been diagnosed with myocarditis and paracarditis feb 13. All my tests ct angio gram and echocardiograms and thalium stress tests showed no heart or valve damage. Elevated troponins when first came down with this. Readings 17 and 27. No other increase. This started from a flu. viral infection. Got the flu two weeks ago and symptoms the same this time but chest pain far greater and lasting longer. No elevation in troponin as it was 6 at the emergency room tuesday. Given percocet for the pain. numbed the pain yesterday. Woke up in the middle of the night with severe back pains - sachorilliac and down left leg. Stomach pain today again and pain in the 7- 8 range today for about 1 hour and the rest of the day pain 3-4 of of 10. Don't want to go back to emergency. Hot and cold flashes and achy again all day.
Good evening I would recommend you see cardiologist as soon as possible. Myocarditis is inflammation of myocardium(heart), Pericardium is inflammation of pericardium covering of heart. The cause in this case must have been viral the flu. I would recommend they do electro cardiogram on you, carry out other tests for conditions that depress your immunity like diabetes, hypertension, HIV. Hope I answered your question, will be happy to help you incase you have more questions
