Chest Wall Swollen. Are They Palpitations? BMI Higher. Help
sir im dr.anirudh...im working as an intern....sir from past 6months i noticed that my left side chest wall appears swollen....im having mild chest pain with palpitations....im also having dyspnoea on mild exertion...my bp is 140/90 and my pulse is 82/min...my age is 24yrs..im a nonsmoker/alcoholic...my bmi is on the higher side...around 28...pls help me out..im worried...thanking you..

you are definitely overweight and sufferring from borderline hypertension or pre hypertension.
That chest wall swelling may be gynecomastia usually seen in obese persons.
Dyspnea and palpitation might be related to your heavy weight only but in my opinion
you should undergo some base line lipid profile, ECG, ECHO and if required TMT.
this is the right time for you to start life style modification..
1. Reduce your weight and maintain BMI around 23
2.reduce saturated fats, salt, junk food and increase part of fruits and vegetables
3 daily 30 min. brisk walk or aerobic exercise
I think in place of getting worried wake up and start workout because today is the best day to start with.
