My five year old boy seems to be having autoimmune reactions to stress. He has joint pains, sometimes stomach-pain, rapid heartbeat and now fever of 38.7 degrees Celcius. I thought this was growing pain, and was very happy when, after two years of this, it stopped. There is another boy in kindergarten hitting, clawing, kicking and biting him, and despite my protests they are not being kept separate. So after four to five months of no symptoms he has started getting them again. He normally sleeps like a log, but last three days he keeps waking up lots of times.
Having a fever like this, with no probable infection...is it harmful to the body? Is it attacking itself? After an episode like this he used to seem fine, although perhaps more suseptible to infections viruses/bacteria in kindergarten.
Thank you for your help,
With regards Nina M-H
Ps. I wanted to rule out things like leukemia about a year ago, and the doctor did a test that ruled this out she said. I don't know what test..
