Child. Pain Near Breast Bone, Tearful. History Of Fall Followed By Shallow Breaths. No Definite Places Of Pain, No Bruising. Suggest

Hello. My 3yr old daughter fell onto my 15 yr old knee while playing. She complained and cried alot at first and had shallow breaths. That was two days ago. Since then she is fine sometimes then really seems In Pain and very tearful at other times. There is no bruising and no definite places of pain when you touch although she does say some places on breast bone hurt. Not sure what to do

Thanks

Hi dear

Welcome to the platform of Health Care Magic.

She might have injured her ribs and surrounding tissue. which is painful especially during the breathing movement.

Even if the ribs are Cracked, no specfic procedure is required to be done except the analgesic antipyretics to be given 4 -5 days.

One can go for the CXRay to rule out any lung or pleura damage.

Hope the query is answered.

Thanks
