Hi
If you have had tetanus immunisation in the recent past / if the child has had immunisation / and if there is no open wound - there is generally no cause for concern
Over The Counter (OTC) medication - Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) like ibuprofen will help in pain relief.
An icepack helps
If t worsens or there is something new, you should see you GP
